CONSTRUCT SERIES EN
Construct Series consists of paintings depicting possibly existing constructions. The artist paints the surface of the carrier and partially removes the paint, making the bottom surface reappear in certain areas. By this means, the artist creates the illusion of a structure. Playing with the idea of constructing through destruction, he builds by removing material, contradicting the principles of creating.
CONSTRUCT SERIES NL
Construct Series bestaat uit schilderijen van mogelijk bestaande constructies. De kunstenaar schildert het oppervlak van de drager en verwijdert gedeeltelijk de verf, waardoor het ondergrond op bepaalde delen weer zichtbaar wordt. Op deze wijze schept hij de illusie van een bouwwerk. Hij bouwt deze constructies door juist het materiaal verwijderen . Het idee van opbouwen door middel van vernietiging, lijkt in tegenspraak te zijn met de principes van creëren.
