De schilderijen van niet-bestaande objecten en sculpturen in obscure ruimtes doen een beroep op het verhaal dat zich in de kijker bevindt. De onderwerpen zijn gemaakt met vluchtige penseelstreken, en de illusie van ruimtelijkheid wordt versterkt door de suggestie van schaduw, grond en muren rondom de onderwerpen. Mensen ontbreken in het werk, maar de onderwerpen hebben vaak menselijke proporties, waardoor de kijker zich des te beter in het werk kan projecteren. Volgens de kunstenaar is er niets voor de geboorte en niets na de dood. Tussendoor proberen we de leegte op te vullen, want nietsheid is onvoorstelbaar.

The paintings of non-existent objects and sculptures in obscure spaces appeal to the story that resides within viewer. The subjects are made with fleeting brushstrokes, and the illusion of spaciousness is often enhanced by the suggestion of shadow, ground and walls surrounding the subjects. Humans are absent in the work, but the subjects often have human proportions, which allows the viewer to project themselves into the work all the better. According to the artist there is nothing before birth and nothing after death. In between we try to fill the void, because nothingness is unimaginable.
